The College for Every Student (CFES) Club is based on the national non-profit College for Every Student organization (www.collegefes.org). Club membership is open to all students interested in pursuing higher education especially first generation college-bound students. The club promotes 3 core principles: pathways to college, mentorship, and leadership through service. Members of the CFES participate in college visits, weekly tutoring, community service, and field trips related to early college awareness and service projects.

 

DECA, An Association of Marketing Students

An international organization which members are provided with educational experiences in leadership, teamwork, citizenship, and character development. Members have the opportunity to meet students from other high schools, receive awards and recognition at state and national conferences, work with professionals from the community, and learn valuable life-long business and human relation skills.

HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America)

HOSA is a national student organization to promote medical professions and to enhance the delivery of quality healthcare to all people. Castle's HOSA chapter provides students who are interested in the medical field to gain experience with various activities and to provide opportunities to volunteer their services to local health care functions. Members will also have a chance to participate in the CTSO Convention to test their developed skills.

The purpose of Interact is to provide opportunities for young people to work together in a world of fellowship dedicated to service and international understanding.

This is an organization that provides service to our community and school, while encouraging personal growth towards becoming a contributing member of society. Their sponsors are the Kaneohe Kiwanis Club.

The purpose of this club is to broaden and deepen an interest in mathematics, to increase knowledge of the subject, to be a member of the Oahu Mathematics League, and to compete in math meets sponsored by the OML.

National Honor Society (NHS)

The Castle High school National Honor Society is a chapter of a nationwide organization. The National Honor Society recognizes a select group of students who have dedicated themselves toward high standards of leadership, character, and service. The club is composed of students who have maintained a 3.5 grade point average or higher. They participate in various activities such as community service projects and volunteer work.

Polynesian Club

This club will share and promote Polynesian culture within the school and community while helping Polynesian students excel in academics.

 

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)

The purpose of this club is to broaden and deepen the interest of its members in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, to increase knowledge of the subject, to create experiences in the various fields, and to perpetuate a desire to learn.

 

Thespian Troupe #566

Castle's chapter of the International Thespian Society is housed within the Ronald E. Bright Performing Arts Center. Students from any public high school in Hawaii are eligible to be members of this organization. Thespian Troupe #566 produces their own variety shows during the school year. In preparation for these shows, students learn to express themselves through the arts while finding value in hard work.

Surf Club

Open to all students at Castle High School, the purpose of the Surf Club is to promote, educate and enjoy Hawaii's most treasured water sport: surfing. Members may choose to compete in public school organized surf or body boarding contests and are expected to train with the surf club for such events. Members will participate in community service, fund-raising and other non-water events such as cookouts, educational lectures and field trips to watch professional surfing contests.
