Summer School

  1. Castle High School’s Summer School Program is open to current and incoming Castle High School students. No students from other schools will be accepted. Priority will be given to seniors needing to take courses to meet graduation requirements. Summer school will be taught in person and online. Please see the following courses that will be offered in person and the courses that will be offered online. Senior students may take up to 2 credits in the summer (1 online course + 1 in person course). Senior students who have met with their academy counselor may register for more than 1 online course. Courses with the notation “Remediation” means that a student must have taken the course previously and failed. The only courses that can be taken for acceleration is PE Lifetime Fitness & Activities and Explore Tech. Please be aware that if a course has low enrollment it is subject to be cancelled. Per HAR §8-30-2(e) and Board of Education policy, the availability of state funds triggers a mandatory tuition waiver for all HIDOE students.  Summer school will be FREE.
  2. To participate in our online summer program, students must adhere to the following requirement:
    • Have daily access to a computer with high speed internet access
    • Follow code of conduct. See end of application
  3. Photography and Video Production will be a S or U grade.  No GPA towards transcript.
  4. There will be a limited number of seats for all courses
  5. An email will be sent to confirm the course(s) you have been accepted into.  Please wait for a course confirmation email from Mr. Gross. 
  6. The email provided within the registration form will be the main email address where progress updates, final grades and notifications will be sent.  No hard copy grades will be sent.
